Initital Consultation

During Initial Consultation, we uncover big - picture project drivers: time-frame, budget, specific outcomes or collaborators. This is also a great chance to better get to know each other.

Concept Design
‍During concept design, we begin with a series of spatial studies that explore layout, flow, and the potential of the site through multiple schematic planning approaches. Each option is developed in response to the client brief—testing how different configurations can support both functional needs and desired experiences. This process helps reveal the strongest design direction early, while also allowing space for dialogue and refinement. Indicative materials, finishes, and key joinery or design gestures are introduced to shape the tone and inform the overall character of the space.

Design Development
‍We translate the selected schematic layout into a fully resolved three-dimensional vision of the space. Spatial qualities are refined—giving form to volume, light, and material through detailed visualisation. A cohesive materials palette is narrowed, joinery compositions are developed, and the effects of both natural and artificial light are carefully considered. This stage deepens the design intent and sets a clear foundation for the upcoming approvals process.

We navigate planning controls with clarity and confidence, working closely with council, private certifiers, and external consultants to support a smooth path to approval. This includes coordinating all required documentation for Development Applications (DA), Complying Development Certificates (CDC), and other authority submissions as needed.

Construction Documentation
‍This is where the design is resolved with precision—translated into a comprehensive set of drawings and specifications ready for Tender. Each Construction Documentation package is unique, though typically includes detailed design drawings, a full schedule of fixtures, finishes, equipment and lighting, and 3D visualisations. This ensures the design intent is clearly communicated, supporting a smooth progression toward construction.

Tender
‍This stage moves the project into formal pricing. Tender packages are issued to a select group of contractors, and once responses are received, we assist in providing an independent review—assessing scope, value, and alignment with the design intent. The process is guided with care, offering clarity and support as we move toward builder engagement.

Coordination
‍A final stage check-in and consolidation of any pre-construction feedback—typically informed by contractor or consultant input. If your project was approved under a Development Application (DA), we’re also positioned to finalise the documentation required for your Construction Certificate (CC).

Design Management
‍We’re building! Our role is to stay closely connected with the contractor to support a seamless and well-executed outcome. Regular site visits, a sharp eye, and open communication help ensure the finished space reflects the design as it was intended - considered, resolved, and entirely your own.
