Cradled between lofty party walls, Goodchap House offers a modest recalibration of the inner - city terrace. The sculpted rear volumes rise in layers to catch the sun.
Within, the home transitions texturally and tonally through bush hammered limestone, dolomite, lavender and cream joinery. Japanese Inax mosaics drench bathrooms diffusing wall and floor to emphasise space.
Much of the existing building fabric was retained externally, including external walls to a pre - existing secondary wing. The ground floor roofline was re - pitched as a single gesture falling towards the rear facade adding both volume and drama internally across kitchen and dining.
Cute as a button!
